2025report.com thanks sir fazle abed- sustainability's greatest hero in 60 years since my family first reported at The Economist critical impacts of asia's majority of our human race

welcome to college year 2021-22 aka 37/40 of 2025report.com major talking points & Diary of
last best chance to design world where next girl born -or child of any skin color has nature's greatest chance of a good life
.
my father norman and lifelong journalist at the economist was last journalist to interview von neumann- whose biography of industrial revolutions IR3 and IR4 he later wrote- our core belief :

we 7.5 human beings have all the tech and abundance of nature to design good life opportunities for all if we unite/collaborate in doing so

BUT unlike IR1 sharing machine energy which rolled out slowly and partially, IR2-4 completely changed human potential in under a generation; we made a mess of ir2 communications tech, and the UN was born to resolve, and by 1957's death of von neumann kennedy and others were uniting the world in hope of soon no mission impossible
round any dynamics unique to human being

.transparency questions we seek to mediate in 21-22 our 37th year of updating 2025 report's countdown to sustainability generations-
  • what is the most entrepreneurial way teachers need to explore 4 industrial revolutions if today's younger half of the world especially poorest or colored halves are to celebrate their communal contributions to sustainability?
  • can leaders of entrepreneurial revolution learn systematically from what chances have we so far missed between 2021 and 1945 and 1760 when the machine age started to be webbed around the world out of Glasgow University thanks to brothers James and Adam ie through systems connecting alumni of engineering and social-economic mapmaking
  • welcome to abedmooc.com - 30 collaboration networks -a billion village women app'd to end poverty -2021 TOP 100 ways to change education and prevent species extinction - special thanks economistdiary.com and economistUN.com

    valuetrue.com- help profile ten wizard tricks for ESG-Environment Social Governance-positive cashflow business models interest me- they are both the only way to scale sustainability of all our children and how to extinguish our species
    the difference is to be found in a purposeful and transparent model that is multiwin including society's need that the business is preventing the greatest risks it sectors experts know most about versus a short-term model where owners are taking from every other stakeholder every quarter
    even more interesting is a partnership network of business models; unfortunately if even one core partner is not sustainable the whole network may collapse on society

    Scots are about 1/400 of human species, 80% living around the world. Over two thirds of the world's mothers are Asian. In 1760 we Scota started up age of humans & machines: naturally what we have discovered about chances of human sustainability have come mostly from servant leaders of billion asian village mothers and a few euro-american maths wizards, notably von neumann, einstein

     yunus 2000 book club- having sampled 2000 yunus books to colleg students we surveyed what topics was yunus right about by an order of magnitude

    - eg chapter on why not turn cox's bazaar into shared superport bangla-myanmar-inda-china?- until such a superport is mapped bangladesh and myanmar will suffer needlessly -and refugee crises will cost far more than investing in the great bay's infrastructure

     welcome to miracles of human development - in silicon valley they celebrate startup networks which exit after creating a billion dollars of networking worth- we propose hunicorns 100 are massively more exciting- they map grassroots networking around purposeful-solutions such as ending famine that everyone involved wants to share and continue developing- to my scottish diaspora friends this search is also very personal- the age of humans and machines started at glagow university in 1760s; instead of the benefits of machines being shared equally all over the world , clearly by 1945 end of world war 2 and birth of united nations- the sahring had been very unevens- amongst the larest ethnicity asians about 65% of humans hardly any had been linked in to electricity grids or other machine-essential infrastructure

     my own diaries on the search for networks start in 1984 with the 2025 report but my specific   search for hunicorns only began in 2007 with my first visit to bangladesh-  dhaka xmas2007 -soon our family foundation helped 2000 youth get free copies of social business books;

    personally i was excited to realise that my diaries connected with my father norman macrae's from the economist- as early as 1962 he discovered japan had found solutions to human development that all 65% of the world -asians - might want to study - within a week of publishing consider japan- president kennedy seconded the view that there was a lot to learn; the model of the 1962 survey was soon connecting infrastructure of sme value chain win-wins down the far east coast and sepercitis -eg tokyo, seoul where over 25 million people grow safely with each other as well as celebrate high quality rural connections - specifically the 60s coastal belt linked in south korea, taiwan, hong kong, singapore- it doesnt matter what we call this model though some simply described it as coastal belt capitalists- in 1977 my fathers asian surveys had discovered an even more exciting model rural keynesianism -together these 2 models could empower asia's poorest billion women to end extreme poverty

    after 15 years - i realise in 2021 that the dozens of young journalists who also joined our family on trips to dhaka have helped their generation search hunicorns - unlike silicon valley these never exit their purpose - in jim kims franciscan terminology they pop tech partnership - prefentisl option poor - leapfroging- so if you are villager without electricity grids you do far more economically with solar- and if you never had a landphone as a billion chinese and bangladeshis never did- you design mote life saving collaborations than if telecoms seems to be a yuppie toy or old hat

    of most interest to me personally in 2020s are hunicorns hu1 and hu100 empowered by billion pooest asian women

    although these started in east pakistan 1970 reborn as bangladesh 1971- i have only been traveling to dhaka since 2007 so please help me filling the gaps

    hu1 began as partnership with what 100000 poorest bangladesh refugees wanted to develop starting with 16000 homes at cost of $5 per home-  having kept village men busy building the homes and resilient community infrastucture 16000 village mothers asked fazle abed how coulf they play an equal part in resilient community building - the solutions and partnerships they found turned out to be needed in rural nation building across bangladesh and much of china's humid continent- so hu1 partners include 1 billion pootrest village womne, the royal families of uk, japan and netherlands; james grant as first chief partner in health followed 20 years later by bill gates jim kim and georg soros;

    hu2 back in early 1970s the nations cholera lab invented oral rehydration which the chinese needed and swapped with theit barefoot medic networks;

    all of the continent needed borlaugs hu3  rice and other crop science which japan had been asian leader of since the 1950s building a philippines and bangladesh irri network- so effectively anyone who sustined partnership with sir fazle abed connected hu1;

    from 2011 sir fazle abed asked japanese and chinese ambassadors to start his legacy hunicorn hu100 - a collaboration of new university alumni - as well as most asian ambassadors- soros asked his university partners starting with central euro and brad new york to linkin

    much more coming soon- if you can help map a hunicorn in transparent and one detail we need you urgently in 2021 rsvp chris.macrae@yahoo.co.uk ecop26.com- on the roads to and from abed's alma mater glasgow u cop 26; on transparency of AI VACCINE MAPS the world 2020s vaccination platforms - hu98

    ---back during the first decade of abed-brac action learning curves empowering billion women to end poverty in their communities

    hu4 started by abed and james grant circa 1980- in parallel in india led by larry brilliant;

    today hu98 likely to depend on how india scales astra zeneca, and who uses chinas vaccines- of course if everyone used taiwans apps we might not have relied on annual vaccinations as best shot at surviving viruses; if you find news that any vaccine lasts many years - well we imagine gates notes will tell you

    more general diary notes on the birth of the 8th most populous nation where life has been on the balance every day since birth of the nation:

    60 years from 1970 have witnessed the greatest human development miracle ever and may yet spiral the greatest human disaster

    The miracle I refer to is solution to schumacher’s keynian challenge – ending poverty is mainly a challenge of developing millions of villages

    This miracle was due to extraordinary hard work and collaboration by the world’s billion poorest mothers

    In this context , village refers to a big continemts inland community with no access to electricity grids

    Even as https://aiforgood.itu.int/united-nations/wfp/was racing to the moon a majority of humans especially on the continent of asia where two thirds of people live still had no access to electricity grid; in turn this meant communications networks were wholly person to person or via printed documents which most villagers could not read

    The simplest way to understand this human development miracle is to chronicle solutions scaled through each decade 1970 1980 1990 2000 2010

    While the knowledge came initially from America via japan and other far east islands; Bangladesh became the deepest end poverty partnership lab. 1970 had started badly in the region with 3 by one million-killing events

    The most local cyclone ever

    Civilian/refugee dislocation during war of indepence of banglash

    A famine that killed a million people

    Curriculm 1 - Before we start this tour we should say that while Bangladesh was the 9th most populous nation, village mothers of southern china were an even bigger population. Both invented and shared with each other solutions to ending extreme poverty; both changed local rural cultures from women are for breeding children to women’s productivity is even more relevant to nation building than men. Both had to overcome tropical climates posing infants and mothers killer diseases that much of the rest of the world had long since defeated or so it seemed. Even though village mothers in both countries worked equally hard- china was soon to see huge inward investment from what was becoming the third wealthiest financial network- the diaspora Chinese. Bangladesh had no such advantage – its diapora did help with large remittance flows but they had no trading wealth. The bay of Bengal had gone from the busies world trade bay in asia to middle of 19th century to a bay that most interhemisphere shipping bypassed.

    How the world got to this stage of inequality in sharing machines is explained by how London (qnd engish language) became the dominant capital over more than 3 centuries from mid 1500s to mod 1800s.

    Curriculum 2 See History lesson of old world’s 6 trading bays and transatlantic pond including maps of the tri continent of Europe-asia -africaplus a few pesky islands to the far north west Ireland and Britannia to the far north east the isands of japan

    Curriculum 3Why might 2020s turn out to be human development’s  terminaly disatrus decade

    to understand each decade of miracles from the viewpoint of the poorest but biggest parenting network -asoan village women, you need to check in with what your family ree observed locally from any of these historic periods

    0-1500 before old world discovered new world

    1500-1760 before humans discovered machines

    1760-1945  before humans gave birth to united nations as an opportunity to transform beyond world wars as the compound consequence of mercantile industrial empires not valuing most lives as mattering

    1945-1970 where new technologues seemed to offer hope- eg if man could land on moon would any mission on earth be impossible?

    in assessing what your family brings to human development learning curves, if you only speak english or a western language you need to ask what does my cultural world have difficulty in seeing that asians as two thirds of the world may see another way round

    the strange story of scots and irish- one of the simplest ways of exploring asians sustainability needs is to ask what if anything did the rise of the british empire 1500-1875 change where you lived - scots/irish have one insight as they were colonised by london from early 1700s, and it was into this conext that adam smith wrote 2 books- attemping to map the world before machines -1758 moral setiments; the world wherever machines reshaped nations; the first lifelong diary from an asian viewpoint is gandhi's ; born 1869 near the most westerly coastline of today's map of india, he traveled to london spending his last days as a teenager as a first year student at the bar of london- he was trying to learn what no college in india could teach; it took another 18 years of lifes experience to realise that british empire laws were the cause not the solution of all his peoples poverty traps; he spent the secong half of his life doing 3 things: reinventing education in india from the ground up round skills learning with montessori wherever opposite to being examined on thee being only one correct theory; he used his fame built from 3 hemispheres of engaging peoples - india, south africa, britain to argue for changing the very rules of justice; he created the movements that made britain who had become the biggest financial loser of world war rush into legaslating the independence of the indian sub continent;

    if understanding how tp free peoples by changing legal constitutions and how childrens time is spent were lessons gandhi alumni help the human race understand, fazle abeds travels 70 years laer as a teenager from the far east corner of the old british empire in india  to study engineering glasgow turned out to be inteegral economically and for deepest innovations in human development

    if gandgi and abed make core guides to advancing lives of the quarter of people born on the indian subcontibent; it seems vital to understand emergent human freedoms at least two other asian stories of going beyond world wars were vital from 1945-1960; the far east inslands eg japan taiwan hk, singapore to which the south korean penisular was also positioned to leap forward thanks to american support 1950-3 ; the desires of the chinese people from the time of moon landing- from that moment on this fifth of the worlds population wanted to come out to the world closed to them for over a century due to british empires opium war of 1860, and to be free of the dismal paradigm tha stain's russia had been trying to force on its biggest neighbor

    its in this melting pot that a billion asian mothers 1970 to 2020 innovaed the greatest miracle of partnering sustaind human development -oe that goes so deep in loving last mile community service that it offers something for every community building network of the 2020s to be inspired by
