6 von neumann worldwide digital economy- in 10 short years ending 1957 von neumann gifted humanity the leap forward in programmable computing-he left behind many east coast hubs from boston yale princeton dc , and ideas-most were not executed to have the impacts he hoped for although initially kennedy's moon race looked hopeful- and the west coast value multipliers around gordon more's 6 decades of 100 times more tech made it look as if no human mission would be impossible by 2020s5 pound economy- this was the first global economy- in most ways the 1% of humans out of the UK built an empire opposite to smith's desires early apps of industrial revolution included slavery and trapping most of humans(who lived on asian contient) in poverty - in 1906 the indian mahatama gandhi start sailing between mumbai, durban and london asking for both a total chnage in education and india's independence- the 2 world wars root cause can be seen to be what happens when thye whole of world trade is mapped round one island's or even one capitals interests - promisingly the new world of americans took up the english langiage and twoice saved the old world from wars- this multiplied a lot of good but the way the dollar economy spiralled after jfk's assasination and as big finace made forst use of eacg new G of tech is a diferent story
4 pre-digital 1970s rural keynesianism economy -first engineerd by Fazle Abed, its chinese version discussed as a global debate in The Economist of 1977- this wonderful innovation is where asian village women started lifting up half the sky on the south asian region bangladesh and the east asian region china- by 1968 china had starved 50 million of its people by following the russian economic model- all the world could have celebrated the return to china to world markets - something it had closed out in 1960 when the british told chinese that they had to accept opium as a trading currency3 deming engineers super-infra economy by 1900 japan had become the 2nd worst nation in trapping peoples on the content of asian- being on the losing side of world war 2- a miracle happened when japan adopted deming's knowhow to lead ahead with engineering infrastructure and microelectronics and world trade ports (a system it shared with islands taiwan hk singapore) and suoerialways which China was the first to ask permission to replicate with Deng in 19782 dollar IR1 global economy- what britain had hubbed out of an island, america stated implementing on continental scale - thus 5% of people both saved the world from 2 wars and peaked at about 30% of human consumption - whilst JFK might have continued the dream of powering the hi-tech 20th century with the worlds people, from 1964 and embattled in superpower wars with russia, the usa started powering over people1 US-Russia Big media economy- the satellite always was to telecoms 0G to 5G as vital as the increase in analytical power of machine intel until in the 2020s one computer chip has up to trillion times more than needed to race to the moon; but space experiments have not been by and for the people ... who knows what space entrepreneurship can do if it ever is

Idea sustainability of humanity will depend on girls as job creators

Exciting - it still needs a billion girls to help it happen

Where did idea start? While there are different cultural views of someting so briliantly human, I first heard about when members of china's quarter of a billion girls shared ideas with the world's number 1 investmnt partnership in girls that used to be hubbed solely out of Bangakdesh but is now to be found wherever the most courageous girls and boys are to be found linking in solutions to sustainability goals -

partnering 7 billion peoples' S-goals-Goal 17

7TH ECONOMY NEEDED TO INTEGRATE POUND DOLLAR SPACE RURAL KEYNES DEMING AND AI ECONOMIES

adam smiths plan a in 1760s was free trade area between uk and usa - uk - less than 1% of worlds people and thousand times less natural resource than usa - the capital of the english speaking industrial world should be moved from london to usa by 1860 latest so dollar led global economy- if kennedy had joined japan and english royal families on a bullet train ride 1964 otokyo olympics - we bet he would have added a bullet train race to bring us infrastructure into the era of celebrating 4 wi-win post industrial economy's

Mike’s Plan:

  • Establish a national 311 service that citizens can call, text, email or tweet 24/7
  • Improve the 20 highest-priority federal services used by the public
  • Partner with existing 311 programs in cities to create a seamless system for providing services at all levels of government
  • Help expand local 311 services to underserved communities across the country

Keep in touch

Mike’s Plan:

Establish a national 311 system that will provide services across all platforms

Citizens will be able to access information and services and report problems to a central hub that will coordinate help for all federal agencies.

Identify the 20 highest-priority consumer-facing government services

Mike’s plan will upgrade customer service to a standard comparable to the private sector. This includes little-to-no wait times, mobile-friendly “trackers” on the status of requests and the resolution of all requests in a short time frame.

Set a goal of creating a network of local 311 services across the country.

Mike will work with local leaders to build on the success of existing programs and expand the reach of 311 into new communities.

Mike’s Record:

Mike will get this done, because he’s done it before as mayor of New York City.
He established a 311 system for New York City that continues to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in nearly 180 languages. It allows people to submit photos and videos with their requests for service improvements. Citizens called for help 160 million times in the program’s first 10 years and rated their satisfaction above the private sector standard.
Before Mike integrated 311, the city government had 40 different call lines to city agencies and no centralized way for the public to get information from the right source. Insights from residents enabled innovative new methods to identify and resolve quality of life issues. The service has become an essential tool for government accountability and a data-driven guide to areas that the city should address. New York City’s 311 system also has become a model for international and domestic cities.

7 Economies - Goal : to have one pager reading lists on 7 distinctive economies by cop26 glasgow late november so adam smith scholars and indeed the future of europe and the world  under 46th president can be mediated- great if people like bbc's david attenborough could join in too

to include brac and glasgow universities as two of the 7 sdg scholars hubs at least where women hold up half the sky and green digital finance leapfrogs peacefully ahead of carbon consumption

No matter: if 7 becomes larger and where i use the word economy i am talking about whatever system-mapping design keynes talked about in last chapter of general theory of  money interest employment - overarching systems which increasingly rule the world by exponentially locking in the life-possibilities of places' next generations
- this isn't the professional terminology that 90 days mass media macroeconomists talk about  nor pr lobbyists etc use to adjudicate their supreme leaders -it isnt freedom of markets the way any scot with a mission reads adam smith

roughly speaking the 7th economic model is the one that is needed if nations are urgently to be united around sdgs -orbiting at least in good enough directions by 2030- the other 6 have discrete case studies from history/herstory though of course their valuation needs win-wins: to interface and the 7th economy needs to converge them for every community-they are also  crashing into 2020s which by moores law in particular senses offers us trillion times more tech than app's to race to the moon in te 1960s

I am delighted if people change the names of these economies- roughly these are names "anonymously" evident in the first 150 years of The Economist 1843-1993 Published since September 1843 to take part in “a severe contest between intelligence, which presses forward, and an unworthy, timid ignorance obstructing our progress.”

1 pound economy - british empire colonisation of old world eventually by 2 islands uk and japan - root cause of world wars

2 dollar (first continent-wide) economy - usa- saved the old world from 2 world wars- at foundation of un in 1945 core to plan of rebooting G7 (outlasting stalin's russia 8th empire) inventing futures of 200 nations especially the majority of people living on asia continent most of whom even at time of moon landing had no access to electricity grids/infrastructure

models 3-6 seem to be based on 4 extraordinary post war innovations planted in 1950s
3 of deming which vogel book japan as number 1 explains- as did deng's desire to build china's first capitalism around engineers not administrators as place leaders

4 of borlaug - the core crop science of rural keynesianism- making communities self sufficient on food round village women holding up half the sly linked to barefoot medic models - eg james grant/brac- its simplest to call this the deepest knowledge of brac university though interestingly it was the other of the 2 models with deming model that china first used to go beyond zero private companies- a difference between bangladesh and china is bangladesh depended on aid being transformed around rural capitalism while by 1976 inward investment into china by diaspora chinese turned deming model from japan island of taiwan hk singapore, peninsular s korea - into continental scale from which asia's two thirds of human species could potentially gain happiness and freedom - rising suns everywhere?

5 is computing/digital model started by eg von neumann and moore's law 1965 (branded silicon valley from 1972) and maybe commercialised by bezos and jack ma from 1995- my father argued this should be designed around small enterprise and open education networking as did von neumann - so i do not feel we have yet searched out this model in a fit way- see also biography of von neumann particularly liis lectures on language/brain science bequested to yale

6 model  is probably even more off course - its everything to do with space, satellite telecoms, death of distance by and for the peoples sharing of life saving apps- its not space wars of big governments- it needs to ground big data small in community governed platforms- some say that half of all human data has been collected since mobile gps etc- and that this depends on how the tipping points of AI*5G*IOT*blockchain make the 2020s the most exciting decade to be alive

as you can see models 5.6 are disputed locally and globally but if we are ever to go green beyond carbon and to value sdgs - we will need to celebrate youth mapping of exponential intangibles valuation models we dont yet have as well as what nye calls coalitions beyond borders
-it seems to me preparing how to map this is what needs readying by nov 2020

oddly the two then young men who inherited my fathers work at the economist now include john micklethwait now editing bloombergs business news and launching bloomberg green yesterday at the world economic forum - people like soros and gorbachev did try and prepare way from my dad's 1984 book to bringing russia in from the cold but clearly that didnt work- nonetheless positive drone economies are needed to green agriculture, blue water and  for large iced up lands and may yet be what determines whether the arctic circle is transformed back to sustainability

a far deeper cultural dialogue than i am capable of is needed to improve on all of the above - i think cultural belt road mapping is needed as much from south to north as east to west and needs to eg celebrate the arts like bostons silk road ensemble- I see new scholarships like schwarzman's being a youthful space to unite cultures as well as sustainability capitalism mapping

question 1 vincent ezra is this worth discussing in boston
question 2 anyone else? - where can we discuss this -eg trying to find how to debate this across adam smith scholars and maybe scholars of fazle abed and smit can launch this as adamsmith.app or whomever you see as questioning the 260 ear future since 1760 of makjets and engines the way alumni of glasgow U's smith and watt tried to identify including sir fazle's 200th yer review which he took from glasgow u of the 1950s to shell oil of the 1960s and then 50 years of village women networking

my father norman macrae explored the future of asian  capitalism in  east between 1962 consider japan and 1977 consider china-this review of consider 2 billion people summarises:

.Donald S. Zagoria  review "TWO BILLION PEOPLE: A SURVEY OF ASIA." By Norman Macrae. London: The Economist, May 7, 1977. The deputy editor of The Economist has written a stunning tour de force on Asian economic development. Its major theme is that, in the past decade and a half, after many centuries during which the real problem of poverty in Asia has been rural underemployment, two different sorts of societies have begun to break through to creating full employment in the countryside. One of them is communist China, which has been following a policy which Macrae calls "rural Keynesianism." The others are "capitalist roaders" such as South Korea and Taiwan, following the trail blazed by Japan. On the mostly authoritarian governments in Asia, Macrae has some heretical conclusions that will pain Western liberals and conservatives alike. Of the 16 non-communist governments in the area, he says, there are only two for which he could in no circumstance vote. Of the seven communist countries in the area, only two have a really rotten ruling system. Most Asian leaders, opines Macrae, are in politics because they have a genuine desire to see their peoples advance in income and happiness. Although such a broad scope and such sweeping conclusions may bring upon him scholarly wrath, Macrae has done what desperately needed to be done ?to look upon East Asia as a whole, to identify the major problems and the most successful responses, and to put it all into an historical and cultural framework. No one could fail to profit from this essay

More specifically dad's 1977 Economist  survey of china recordedThe Chinese say that they have made education to 17 universal in their cities and claim they will advance to full education for rural 17 year olds in the 980s now that the dramatic drop in birth rate is allowing teachers ti switch from primary schools to secondary. Every aspect of world economics and politics will be transformed if these educated new chinese in the 1990s attain a level of productivity and income even approximately in accord with their ability, and hell knows what will happen if they don't

Father's 1976 survey of future capitalism (dubbed Entrepreneurial Revolution and later Intrapreneur) had explained his hypothesis that the future needed to replace big organisations by small enterprises

Dad's work was subjected to hatred in us congress 1978 -
Apr 20, 1978 - Macrae, deputy editor of The Economist, call'> China's present-day rural Keynesianism are expressions of that compulsion. Washington and ...

nonetheless he stood his ground

As a journalist whose job it is to check facts against politicians' promises and public servants' continuing prejudices, I doubt whether modern history is moved much by slogans. Interdependence versus self-reliance, the supposed conflicts of the Chinese Way (egalitarianism, autarchy, underconsumption) versus the Japanese Way (growth, trade, investment)— all give way, I suspect, to changing precepts that bring successes.
